Your Journey Begins
A safe path to discover the truth.
Light of Isa
40-Day Discipleship Journey
In the Beginning
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.
The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about him, and cried out, 'This was he of whom I said, "He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me."') For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
Reflection
- 01
What does it mean that Jesus (the Word) was with God in the beginning?
- 02
Why is it significant that God chose to become human (flesh)?
- 03
How does verse 12 say we become children of God?
Prayer
"Lord God, thank You for coming into our world. Open my eyes to see Your glory in Jesus."
The Lamb of God
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, 'Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is he of whom I said, "After me comes a man who ranks before me, because he was before me." I myself did not know him, but for this purpose I came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel.'
And John bore witness: 'I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him. I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, "He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit." And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.'

- 01
Why does John the Baptist call Jesus the 'Lamb of God'?
- 02
What does a lamb symbolize in the history of sacrifice?
- 03
What does it mean that He 'takes away' the sin of the world?
Prayer
"Jesus, thank You for being the Lamb who takes away my sin. I trust in Your sacrifice."
The First Signs
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, 'They have no wine.' And Jesus said to her, 'Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.' His mother said to the servants, 'Do whatever he tells you.'
Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, 'Fill the jars with water.' And they filled them up to the brim. And he said to them, 'Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.' So they took it. When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, 'Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.' This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.
Reflection
- 01
Why was turning water into wine Jesus's first miracle?
- 02
What does this miracle reveal about Jesus's power over creation?
- 03
How can Jesus bring transformation to the 'empty jars' in your life?
Prayer
"Lord, transform the ordinary parts of my life into something that reveals Your glory."
You Must Be Born Again
Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, 'Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.' Jesus answered him, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.' Nicodemus said to him, 'How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?' Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, "You must be born again." The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.'
Nicodemus said to him, 'How can these things be?' Jesus answered him, 'Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? ... For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.'
Reflection
- 01
Why was Nicodemus, a religious leader, confused by Jesus's teaching?
- 02
What is the difference between physical birth and being 'born of the Spirit'?
- 03
Have you experienced this spiritual new beginning?
Prayer
"Father, I want to be born of Your Spirit. Give me new life."
The Woman at the Well
Now when Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John ... he left Judea and departed again for Galilee. And he had to pass through Samaria. So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar ... Jacob's well was there; so Jesus, wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well. It was about the sixth hour. A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, 'Give me a drink.' (For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, 'How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?' ... Jesus answered her, 'If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, "Give me a drink," you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.' ... Jesus said to her, 'Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.' ... The woman said to him, 'I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.' Jesus said to her, 'I who speak to you am he.'
Reflection
- 01
Why did Jesus speak to a Samaritan woman, breaking cultural norms?
- 02
What is the 'living water' that Jesus offers?
- 03
What thirsts in your soul are you trying to satisfy without Jesus?
Prayer
"Jesus, give me this living water so I will never thirst again."
Authority to Heal
After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, in Aramaic called Bethesda, which has five roofed colonnades. In these lay a multitude of invalids—blind, lame, and paralyzed. ... One man was there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, 'Do you want to be healed?' The sick man answered him, 'Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up...' Jesus said to him, 'Get up, take up your bed, and walk.' And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked. Now that day was the Sabbath...
Reflection
- 01
Why did Jesus ask the man, 'Do you want to get well?'
- 02
What does Jesus's command to 'pick up your mat' imply about faith and action?
- 03
Is there an area of your life where you are waiting for permission to be whole?
Prayer
"Lord, I want to be made well. Help me to stand up and walk in faith."
The Bread of Life
When they found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, 'Rabbi, when did you come here?' ... Jesus answered them, 'Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you.' ... Then they said to him, 'What must we do, to be doing the works of God?' Jesus answered them, 'This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.' ... Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.' ... 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. ... For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.'
Reflection
- 01
Why did the crowd follow Jesus, and what did He offer them instead?
- 02
What does it mean to 'feed' on Jesus spiritually?
- 03
How is Jesus different from the manna (bread) the ancestors ate?
Prayer
"Jesus, You are the Bread of Life. Feed my soul today."
The Beatitudes
Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him. And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:
'Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.'
Reflection
- 01
How does Jesus's definition of 'blessed' differ from the world's?
- 02
Which of these qualities (meekness, mercy, peacemaking) do you lack most?
- 03
Why are the 'poor in spirit' given the Kingdom of Heaven?
Prayer
"Lord, shape my character to reflect Your Kingdom values."
Salt and Light
'You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.'
Reflection
- 01
What happens if salt loses its flavor? How can a believer lose their distinctiveness?
- 02
In what specific ways can you be 'light' in your workplace or family?
- 03
Who sees your good deeds and praises your Father in heaven?
Prayer
"God, help me to shine brightly for You in a dark world."
Love Your Enemies
'You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also... You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? ... You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.'
Reflection
- 01
Why is loving enemies the ultimate test of being a child of God?
- 02
Who is an 'enemy' or difficult person in your life right now?
- 03
How can you practically pray for those who persecute you?
Prayer
"Father, give me the supernatural love to bless those who curse me."
How to Pray
'And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites... But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret... Pray then like this:
"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.'
Reflection
- 01
Why does Jesus warn against 'babbling like pagans'?
- 02
What are the key priorities in the Lord's Prayer (God's name, Kingdom, Will)?
- 03
Why is forgiveness of others linked to our own forgiveness?
Prayer
"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name..."
Trust Over Worry
'Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air... Are you not of more value than they? ... And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow... But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? ... But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.'
Reflection
- 01
What does worry reveal about our trust in God?
- 02
How does looking at birds and flowers help us understand God's care?
- 03
What does it look like to 'seek first His Kingdom' today?
Prayer
"Lord, I cast my anxieties on You. Help me seek You above all else."
The Narrow Gate
'Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits... Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name?" ... And then will I declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness."'
Reflection
- 01
Why is the path to life described as 'narrow' and 'hard'?
- 02
What distinguishes a true disciple from one who just says 'Lord, Lord'?
- 03
Are you on the broad road or the narrow path?
Prayer
"Jesus, keep me on the narrow path that leads to life."
Two Foundations
'Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.'
And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, for he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
Reflection
- 01
What represents the 'rain, floods, and winds' in your life?
- 02
What is the only difference between the wise and foolish builder?
- 03
What teaching of Jesus do you need to put into practice today?
Prayer
"Rock of Ages, help me build my life on obeying Your Word."
Faith of the Centurion
When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to him, appealing to him, 'Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.' And he said to him, 'I will come and heal him.' But the centurion replied, 'Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I too am a man under authority...' When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, 'Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel have I found such faith... Go; let it be done for you as you have believed.' And the servant was healed at that very moment.
Reflection
- 01
What amazed Jesus about the Roman officer's faith?
- 02
How did the Centurion understand authority?
- 03
Do you trust that Jesus can speak a word and change your situation?
Prayer
"Lord, I am not worthy, but only say the word and I shall be healed."
Calming the Storm
On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, 'Let us go across to the other side.' ... And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, 'Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?' And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, 'Peace! Be still!' And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, 'Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?' And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, 'Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?'
Reflection
- 01
Why were the disciples terrified even though Jesus was with them?
- 02
What does Jesus's power over the wind and waves tell us about His identity?
- 03
What storm in your life do you need Jesus to silence?
Prayer
"Peace, be still. Lord, calm the storms in my heart."
The Good Shepherd
'Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep... The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out... I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd... sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees... I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.'
Reflection
- 01
How does the Good Shepherd differ from the hired hand?
- 02
What does it mean that Jesus 'knows' His sheep and they know His voice?
- 03
Are you listening for His voice today?
Prayer
"Good Shepherd, lead me. I want to follow Your voice alone."
Resurrection & Life
Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days... Martha said to Jesus, 'Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.' ... Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?' ... Jesus wept... Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb... He cried out with a loud voice, 'Lazarus, come out.' The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, 'Unbind him, and let him go.'
Reflection
- 01
What did Jesus mean by 'I am the resurrection and the life'?
- 02
Why did Jesus weep if He knew He would raise Lazarus?
- 03
Do you believe He has power over death itself?
Prayer
"Jesus, You are the Resurrection. Bring life to the dead places in me."
The Lost Son
And he said, 'There was a man who had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, "Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me." ... Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living... But when he came to himself, he said... "I will arise and go to my father"... But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. And the son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you..." But the father said to his servants, "Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him... for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found."'
Reflection
- 01
Which son do you identify with more: the rebellious younger or the resentful older?
- 02
What does the father's reaction tell us about God's heart for you?
- 03
Is there shame keeping you from running back to the Father?
Prayer
"Father, I come home to You. Thank You for running to meet me."
The Rich Ruler
And a ruler asked him, 'Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?' And Jesus said to him... 'You know the commandments...' And he said, 'All these I have kept from my youth.' When Jesus heard this, he said to him, 'One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.' But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich. Jesus, seeing that he had become sad, said, 'How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.'
Reflection
- 01
What was the one thing the ruler lacked?
- 02
Why is it hard for those who have much to enter the Kingdom?
- 03
Is there any possession or relationship you value more than Jesus?
Prayer
"Lord, help me let go of anything that competes for my heart."
Zacchaeus
He entered Jericho and was passing through. And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not, on account of the crowd, because he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him... And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, 'Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.' ... And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, 'Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.' And Jesus said to him, 'Today salvation has come to this house... For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.'
Reflection
- 01
Why did Jesus choose to stay at the house of a hated tax collector?
- 02
How did salvation change Zacchaeus's actions immediately?
- 03
Who is 'lost' in your life that Jesus wants to seek and save?
Prayer
"Jesus, come to my house today. Change my heart like Zacchaeus."
The Servant King
Now before the Feast of the Passover... Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands... rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet... He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, 'Lord, do you wash my feet?' ... Jesus said to him, 'If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.' ... When he had washed their feet... he said to them, 'Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.'
Reflection
- 01
Why did Jesus wash His disciples' feet?
- 02
What does this act illustrate about true leadership?
- 03
Whose feet can you 'wash' (serve) this week?
Prayer
"Lord, teach me to serve others in humility and love."
The True Vine
'I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit... Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing... As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love... This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.'
Reflection
- 01
What happens to a branch that remains in the vine?
- 02
What does 'pruning' look like in a believer's life?
- 03
How can you abide in Jesus more deeply today?
Prayer
"Jesus, You are the Vine. Keep me connected to You so I bear fruit."
The High Priestly Prayer
When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, 'Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you... And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent... I am praying for them... Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one... I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.'
Reflection
- 01
What was Jesus's deepest desire for His followers?
- 02
Why is unity among believers so important to Jesus?
- 03
How does it feel to know Jesus prayed for YOU (v. 20)?
Prayer
"Lord, make us one as You and the Father are one."
Betrayal and Denial
While he was still speaking, there came a crowd, and the man called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him, but Jesus said to him, 'Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?' ... Then they seized him and led him away... Peter followed at a distance... A servant girl saw him... and said, 'This man also was with him.' But he denied it, saying, 'Woman, I do not know him.' ... And after an interval of about an hour still another insisted, saying, 'Certainly this man also was with him...' But Peter said, 'Man, I do not know what you are talking about.' And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord... and he went out and wept bitterly.
Reflection
- 01
How could Peter deny Jesus after walking with Him for 3 years?
- 02
How did Jesus look at Peter after the denial (v. 61)?
- 03
Have you ever felt you failed God? How does He look at you?
Prayer
"Lord, when I fall, restore me with Your grace."
The Crucifixion
Two others, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him. And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his right and one on his left. And Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.' ... One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him... But the other rebuked him... and he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.' And he said to him, 'Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.' ... Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, 'Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!' And having said this he breathed his last. Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, saying, 'Certainly this man was innocent!'
Reflection
- 01
What did Jesus say to the criminal hanging next to Him?
- 02
What does the tearing of the temple curtain symbolize?
- 03
Why did Jesus have to die?
Prayer
"Thank You, Jesus, for paying the price I could never pay."
Tetelestai - It is Finished
So they took Jesus, and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull... There they crucified him... When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments... After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture), 'I thirst.' A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, 'It is finished,' and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Reflection
- 01
What did Jesus mean by 'It is finished'?
- 02
What work was completed on the cross?
- 03
Do you believe there is anything left for you to do to earn salvation?
Prayer
"It is finished. I rest in Your completed work."
The Empty Tomb
Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb... But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb... She turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, 'Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?' Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, 'Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him...' Jesus said to her, 'Mary.' She turned and said to him in Aramaic, 'Rabboni!' (which means Teacher)... Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, 'I have seen the Lord!'
Reflection
- 01
Why didn't Mary recognize Jesus at first?
- 02
What does the resurrection prove about Jesus?
- 03
How does the reality of the resurrection change your fear of death?
Prayer
"Risen Lord, I worship You. You are alive forevermore!"
Road to Emmaus
That very day two of them were going to a village named Emmaus... While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were kept from recognizing him... And he said to them, 'O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?' And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself... When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight. They said to each other, 'Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road?'

Do You Love Me?
When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, 'Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?' He said to him, 'Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.' He said to him, 'Feed my lambs.' He said to him a second time, 'Simon, son of John, do you love me?' He said to him, 'Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.' He said to him, 'Tend my sheep.' He said to him the third time, 'Simon, son of John, do you love me?' Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, 'Do you love me?' and he said to him, 'Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.' Jesus said to him, 'Feed my sheep... Follow me.'

The Great Commission
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'

The Promise of Power
He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs... and he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father... 'For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.' ... But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.' And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
Reflection
- 01
Why did they need to wait for power before going?
- 02
What is the purpose of the Holy Spirit's power in us?
- 03
Where is your 'Jerusalem' (local mission field)?
Prayer
"Holy Spirit, fill me with Your power to be a witness."
Pentecost
When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind... And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit... But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them... 'Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth... you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. God raised him up... Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.' ... And Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.' ... So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

The Fellowship
And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Conversion of Paul
But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord... went to the high priest... Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?' And he said, 'Who are you, Lord?' And he said, 'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.' ... And Ananias went and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, 'Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.' And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight.

Is there anyone you think is 'too far gone' for God to save?

Life in the Spirit
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death... For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit... You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you... For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, 'Abba! Father!'
Reflection
- 01
What does 'no condemnation' mean for you practically?
- 02
How do we set our minds on the things of the Spirit?
- 03
Do you relate to God as a slave (fear) or a son/daughter (love)?
Prayer
"Abba, Father, I belong to You. Lead me by Your Spirit."
A Living Sacrifice
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind... Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor... Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer... Bless those who persecute you... Repay no one evil for evil... If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Reflection
- 01

- 02
In what areas of your life are you conforming to the world?
- 03
How can you renew your mind today?
Prayer

Fruit of the Spirit
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh... Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger... But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
Reflection
- 01
Which 'fruit' (singular) of the Spirit do you see growing in your life?
- 02

- 03
What does it mean to 'keep in step' with the Spirit?

"Spirit, produce Your fruit in me. Make me like Jesus."
The Armor of God
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities... against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God... Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith... and the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Reflection
- 01
Who is our real enemy?
- 02
Why is the Word of God called the 'sword of the Spirit'?

Prayer
"Lord, I put on Your armor. Help me to stand firm."
Finish the Race
I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead... preach the word; be ready in season and out of season... For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching... As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness...

You are welcome here
Many people arrive here with questions, experiences, or a quiet longing for truth.
You do not need to understand everything. You do not need to decide anything today.
This page is not a demand — it is an invitation to take one honest step at a time.
When You Are Ready
For many people, following Isa (Jesus) begins with a personal decision of trust — often quietly, often over time.
This is not about changing your culture or rejecting your family. It is about opening your heart to the One who knows you and loves you.
God is patient. Growth takes time. Questions are welcome.
If you feel ready to speak to God in this way, you may pray. If not, you are still welcome to continue reading and learning.
If you are ready to trust Him, you can pray this simple prayer. These are not magic words, but a simple way to express your heart to God:
"Lord Jesus, I come to You as I am. I believe You are the Word of God and the Messiah. Thank You for dying for my sins and rising from the dead. I cannot save myself. I surrender my life to You. Wash my heart clean and lead me in Your truth. I am Yours."
A prayer of surrender
Faith often grows before it is named. These practices help many people take their first steps.
Growing in FaithWalking the Path
Daily Bread
Just as our bodies need food, our spirits need truth. Reading the Bible (the Injil) is how we listen to God's voice. It is our daily bread that gives us strength.
The Guide
You are not walking alone. When you trust Jesus, God's Spirit comes to live within you. He is your Helper who whispers truth and gives you power to change.
The Family
A single coal quickly goes cold, but together they burn bright. We need other believers to encourage us, protect us, and remind us we belong to a global family.
Faith begins with a decision, but it grows through daily steps.
Your First 40 Days
